Boat Safety Checklist

Need some boat safety tips? TALOS is here to help!

Boating can be a fun way to enjoy a summer day, but it’s important to stay safe while enjoying the water.

Boat Safety Tips:
Any boat can be struck by lightning but certain boats have a higher chance than others. Lightning is more likely to go for the tallest thing in the water, so a sailboat with its larger mast height typically gets struck more. According to BoatUS Marine Insurance, power boats and pontoons are struck by lightning, but their odds are well below average.
