Placing an Order

You can place an order via the TALOS web site for direct shipment worldwide. You can also fax, email, or call us directly to place an order.

To place an order via the website, you must supply a valid billing and shipping address. All payments are accepted in US dollars and by credit card only. We accept Paypal, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards.

We can accept purchase orders for phoned in orders pending credit approval. The web site ordering system can not accommodate purchase orders at this time.

International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes incurred on a shipment.

Order Processing

When you submit your order via the website and proceed to the checkout, your credit card and sales transaction information is encrypted using 40 or 128-bit Secure Socket Layer technology and sent to an Authorize.net transaction server. The server then sends the data through the authorization network to the appropriate card issuer’s bank over a secure, proprietary connection. Your billing address and phone number will be compared to what’s on file with your credit card bank. Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order.

When the authorization process is complete – after about five seconds – you will receive and approval or decline response on the screen.

Once we have received and processed your order, TALOS will email you an acknowledgement listing your ship date. We will also email you a copy of the invoice and UPS tracking number when your order ships. When an order is submitted before 4:00/3:30 PM EST, we will make every attempt to shop your order the same day. TALOS does not ship products on weekend days. Due to UPS restrictions, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes. All shipments are subject to stock availability.


All prices are subject to change without notice in the event of any changes in cost of materials or labor, specifications, quantities, delivery schedules, customs duties, other factors beyond Seller’s control. Further, prices payable by the Buyer shall be subject to immediate increase should the Seller as a result of governmental action or regulation incur additional duties, tariffs or restrictions on products sold hereunder, or on the raw materials that are used in making such products.

Shipping Methods & Charges

Our standard carrier is UPS. Other carriers are available for an additional fee/charge. Shipping charges are displayed at checkout and on the Acknowledgement and are determined by the delivery time (ground, 2-day, next day etc), size and weight of the package.

For International Orders, the customer is responsible for all international shipping charges.

Product Warranty

TALOS products carry a 12 month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a product fails to perform within recommended specifications within 1 year from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace the product at our option.

The limited warranty does not cover damages as a result of:

  • Transportation or storage
  • Improper use; failure to follow the product instructions or perform any preventative maintenance
  • Any components added since the item was originally sold
  • External causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions beyond our reasonable control.

TALOS shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Customers shall hold TALOS harmless of all damages and costs.

TALOS is committed to protecting your credit card and company information against misuse. Passwords are stored in an encrypted form on our database server. Credit card information is encrypted using 40 or 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and transmitted to an Cybersource.com transaction server. We do not store credit card information on our server.

TALOS is not responsible for misuse of our site’s ordering system by your company’s employees. Maintaining your password’s security is your responsibility. Credit card orders received by us are considered authentic. If you suspect any fraudulent use of your credit card at our site, please contact us as well as your credit card issuer immediately so that your account can be placed on hold.


Contact information is used to process orders and send information about TALOS to our customers. We do not share or sell contact information. Please review our Privacy Policy for specifics regarding online privacy.

Compliance with Economic Sanctions and Export Controls

Customer acknowledges that the Products and related technical data and services are subject to the economic sanctions and export control laws of the United States, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and economic sanctions regulations of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Customer agrees to comply with all relevant laws concerning export controls and economic sanctions, and will not export, re-export, or transfer the Products or related technical data and services in contravention of U.S. or other applicable law. Customer agrees not to export, re-export, or transfer the Products or related technical data and services to any restricted country or territory (including, as of the date of this Agreement, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria), entity, or person for which an export license or other governmental approval is required, unless such license or authorization has been properly obtained and the Company has given prior written approval.


Worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions protect the TALOS Internet site. None of the materials appearing on taloslightningdetectors.com may be copied, reproduced, modified, published, uploaded, posted, or distributed in any form or by any means other than as described by TALOS or with TALOS prior written permission.
